CADGROUND CLOUD / LEGAL

Terms of Use

These terms describe the use of CADground Cloud, a hosted service for working with point clouds, CAD geometry, project files and AI-assisted outputs. In this document, “we” refers to the operator of CADground Cloud and “you” refers to the person or organization using the service.

1. Accounts and organizations

Provide accurate account information and protect your login credentials. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so. Organization administrators manage membership and project access. Only access projects you are authorized to use, and notify support if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Project files and your rights

You retain your rights in scans, models, documents, images and other content you upload. You must have permission to upload the content and to send relevant parts of it to the service providers involved in processing your requests. This includes permissions concerning personal information, confidential material and third-party intellectual property.

You give us a non-exclusive permission to store, copy, convert, transmit and process your content as needed to provide the service, carry out your instructions, maintain access and security, and keep operational backups. This permission does not grant a general right to publish your private project files or use them in advertising. Processing by external providers is described in the Privacy Policy.

3. AI-assisted work

CADground AI can inspect project context, run tools and create or change project files in response to your requests. Relevant messages, files, scene views and tool results may be sent to external AI providers. Review the information you submit and the changes made by AI.

AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your intended use. Measurements, reconstructed geometry, technical statements and generated documents need review against the source and, where appropriate, review by a qualified professional before use in engineering, construction or other consequential decisions. The service does not certify an engineering result.

Generated outputs may not be unique, and their eligibility for intellectual-property protection depends on applicable law and third-party rights. We do not promise exclusive rights in AI-generated content.

4. Plans, availability and early access

Available features and access are described in the application. Features marked planned or coming soon are not available commitments. Free uses shared processing capacity; Pro provides a dedicated environment. Free allows one nondeleted project per organization, including archived projects. Pro currently upgrades that existing project rather than enabling additional project creation. Pro supports three members including the owner; pending invitations reserve a place. Capacity and service availability can affect processing.

Live paid checkout and credit purchases are not currently available. The planned Pro price is US$49 per month per organization. Free requires no payment card and does not automatically become a paid subscription. Any enabled Mollie test checkout is explicitly marked and does not charge real money. Final commercial payment, tax, renewal, cancellation and refund terms will be presented before live subscriptions are introduced.

On Free, keep the editor open while AI works. Closing all editor tabs for the scene stops its task after a short reconnect window. You can reopen the same conversation and send a new message to continue; interrupted work does not restart automatically. Pro uses a managed browser and can continue after you close the editor. Save your work and download important outputs.

External MCP is available on Pro when enabled for the environment. You authorize a compatible client to access the selected project within your permissions and can revoke its connection. Your chosen external AI provider handles its own model charges and data processing. No unlimited AI, storage or processing allowance is promised; final commercial allowances will be stated before sale.

5. Moving a project to Pro

The current upgrade moves project files, saved scene data and generated artifacts to a dedicated environment. Earlier chat history remains in the Free environment. Moving a project is not a promise that every historical session record will be copied. Check the migrated project and retain your own copies of important deliverables.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful activities; upload malicious files; attempt to access another customer’s data; bypass permissions or capacity controls; extract service credentials; or interfere with other users or the hosting infrastructure. Automated access must use supported interfaces and the permissions granted to you.

7. Software and demo content

CADground software, branding and third-party components remain subject to their respective rights and licenses. Demo assets may have their own licenses and attribution requirements. A demo copied into your project remains subject to its original license; copying it does not transfer ownership of the underlying asset.

8. Archiving, deletion and retained records

Stopping or archiving a project does not delete its files. Deleting an archived project requires confirmation and removes its active project environment through the hosting APIs. Some records, including usage records, chat or session history stored separately, and retained backup copies, may remain. The Privacy Policy describes retention and requests concerning personal information.

9. Suspension and service changes

Access may be restricted to address abuse, security incidents, legal requirements or infrastructure failures. Where practical and permitted, we will explain the restriction and how to contact support. We may change the service and will give notice of material changes to these terms before they apply, except where urgent security or legal action is necessary.

10. Warranties and legal rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free software, or suitability of an AI output for a particular task. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Privacy and contact

Read the Privacy Policy for information about accounts, project content, voice input, external providers and data requests. For questions about the service or these terms, contact support@flatlogic.com.
